Christine’s work currently focuses on absence: this might be dementia and how that affects the identity, or the absence of women in history and art. She uses the skills and influences of her forebears to produce a contemporary commentary on our modern life.

Christine is also interested in the narrative that is part of the journaling process and has produced several pieces of work that explore how to create textiles from these repetitive ways of collecting information.
